[B] Evolve Examination
For each evolve entry examination students are billed a one-time- only for the module/unit a non refundable sum admin fee etc by the VTI ltd to cover processing and review costs as per below. This is billed in your exam admin fees etc charges when you pay your exam fees at the vti ltd
- Recording of learners exact personal details
- Recording of learners exam unit
- Check the fees payable on Walled garden for each qualification
- Create cohort for any new candidate(s) on Walled garden and submit a printout of the cohort for each qualification on payment date.
- Payment to MES
- Place order on walled Garden
- Uploading of learners exam details –exam booking
- Fill mark sheets for result entries
- Informed Mauritius Examinations Syndicate of the days the Practical Assessments/Assignments have been scheduled so as to enable the MES to arrange for External Verifier(s) to call at the centre.

Practical Assessment
All external practical exam[request list of exercises from office] comprises of [a] THESIS /Portfolio /project /report and [b] practice

[b] Practical assessments
All practical assessment are on a continuous process varying from 2 to 6 hrs duration per assessment per candidate per day and students are billed a one-time- only for the module/unit fee [including THESIS /Portfolio /project /report FEE if any ] nonrefundable practical fee by the VTI ltd to cover all the practical assessments as per listed examination ; processing, recording etc and review costs. This is billed in your exam admin fees charges when you pay your exam fees at the vti ltd see vti admin fee
Practical Materials for examination
It is mandatory to Keep the exam records and evidence of candidates' work until confirmation of results
Electrical/Electronic
Each student has to compulsorily be equipped with his/her exam unit accessories-which can be either
a] bought and brought by themselves- [see list required with your trainer and collected after result-see materlal collection below-]' or
b] supplied by the institute and for which each student has to request for said in writing and pay a maintenance material non refundable fee of Rs 2000/ per unit/project . and materials remain property of the institute –
-Culinary Ingredients Internal/external Exam candidates are required to bring all of their own ingredients which will be provided prior to examination. Students shall request said from office/trainer/coordinator if not received two days before exam.
However, a test site may choose to provide common staples and optional items to the candidates. The Test Site Administrator shall provide the candidates with a list of common staple and optional items available prior to examination.
Student Responsibility and Collection of Materials
Please note that candidates are
1] responsible for their own assessment electrical and electronic /culinary or other required accessories and
2] for ensuring that any electrical/electronic etc devices and other accessories they take to the exam centre comply with health and safety requirements applicable in the country where the exam is taking place.
VTI ltd will not accept any liability in the event of any candidate's property being lost, stolen, or damaged either while in transit to and from the exam centre or at any time during the exam itself.
-All Exam materials for project/assignment brought/bought by each student and submitted for the External examination Practical Assignments shall be the property of the student concerned.
- Arrangement has to be made to collect said immediately after result.
-VTI nor its management or both shall not be liable for any damage / lost, a week after result.
-The Assignments materials

INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS TO INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
1.GENERAL
(a)Before filling the Application Form applicants are advised to read carefully the
'Regulations and 'Information on Programmes' available on the vti website: www.vtimauritius.com
(b)Applications are invited for Full-Time and Part-Time Programmes to be offered in the academic year 2020/2021 . The list of programmes offered is also available on the vti website.
(c)Qualifications obtained after the closing date will not be considered.
2.HOW TO APPLY
Application for admission will be open and on request prior to admission notice and all procedures and instructions indicated should be carefully followed.
3. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
The duly completed Application Form together with copies of birth and educational certificates and proof of payment of Application Fee of 150 US Dollars, exclusive of bank charges, should be submitted online only as per instructions in the application form. Married women should also submit a scanned copy of their marriage certificate.
Incomplete application will not be considered.

The institute reserves the right to review fees for any given academic year prior to the beginning of such academic year. 7. ACCOMMODATION
The institute is non-residential. International students are assisted in finding a suitable lodging in the vicinity of the campus. Students would need about a minimum of 10,000 Mauritian Rupees monthly for accommodation and living expenses.
8. HEALTH
International students securing a seat at the institute will be required to produce a medical certificate issued by any private Laboratory/Clinic/Hospital in Mauritius attesting that they are not suffering from any contagious or infectious disease and they may be asked to undergo a medical check-up, at the students' own cost, in Mauritius.
9. VISA & RESIDENCE PERMIT
The institute will submit applications for entry visa and residence permits for international students who are offered admission on any programme at the institute .
(i)“Application form to Enter Mauritius" to be filled in and signed by the applicant.
(ii)Two recent passport size photographs of the applicant.
(iii)Photocopy of five first pages of passport (including page bearing photograph and date of issue).
(iv)Original Bank Statement bearing the signature of the Bank Officer and the seal of Bank.
(v)A medical certificate attesting that the applicant is not suffering from any contagious or infectious disease.
The institute does not take the responsibility of prospective students' families.
10. FURTHER INFORMATION
10.1 Candidates are normally notified of the outcome of their applications within one month after the closing date of applications.
10.2 Prospective applicants are informed that the institute reserves the right not to run any one of the programmes should there be an insufficient number of students registered for it.
10.3 Upon receipt of Letter of Offer and acceptance of same, foreign candidates will have to provide evidence of payment of full fees from their bank (including full name, the amount credited to University of Mauritius account and the date) by emailing us a scanned copy of same on vti@intnet.mu . Please note that only upon payment that candidates will be issued their student visa for entry in Mauritius. However, if the candidate does not obtain a visa from the Passport and Immigration Office (PIO), he/she will be refunded total fees paid excluding application and registration fee .
10.4 A student who does not pay all fees and charges as required shall be suspended from the institute and may only be re-admitted with the permission of the manager of the centre and on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed.
10.5 Certificates of Graduates will be withheld as long as the graduates have not cleared all their liabilities towards the institute .
Note: The institute reserves the right to amend the Programme Structures and individual modules, as well as the offer of modules during the duration of a course at any time with reasonable notice, by letters circulated through the Programme Coordinator and email to students concerned at least one month prior to the implementation of the amendment(s) made.
